Hello everyone.

I've been managing to work through some issues I was having with Orbiter Diagnostic and the V2-Bumper addon at MSC. While I still cannot get that particular spacecraft off the pad (still crashing on loading), I was at least able to get OrbiterDiagnostic up and running so I can see where some of the problems are. One thing, I'm having trouble finding multistage.dll anywhere.

Aside from that, however, I noticed that some of my attempts to extract addon files had gone in and extra folder deep (or I think so). So the path of some of the configuration files was c:\orbiter\config\config.

That's wrong isn't it? Generally shouldn't all components of an addon go into existing folders as appropriate? So the new meshes should go in ../Orbiter/meshes, new configs in ../Orbiter/configs, and so on? Is there a custom or standard that's followed by the Orbiter community in this regard?

Similarly, I should not see an "orbiter" folder in the main Orbiter folder, unless I put it there myself?

You are correct. It sounds like someone packed an add-on slightly incorrectly. You should be able to extract into the Orbiter root folder, and it sounds like at least one of those add-ons needs to be extracted into the folder that contains the Orbiter root folder.

Tommy is right. There are no rules for packing addons and some addons need editing of configuration files.
I recommend opening the package before taking any action and reading the included documentation.
