ADDON REQUEST

http://www.spacex.com/dragon.php

this is currently the runner up in the commercial side of the ISS bus replacement race.

Didn't we already have this? I think Kodiak did it, but my add-on memory is pretty fallible.

If not, just get somebody to make the meshes, I am sure somebody can also make a multistage2 ini or DLL.

I checked orbiter hanger but i couldn't find anything for the Dragon

Yes, you are right, I thought somebody already did it, but that was not the case. But we have a Falcon I already, thanks to Alex.

My first thought was that Kodiak has done this. However, it was his t/space CXV I was thinking about: [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2395"]t\Space CXV[/ame]

Isn't it interesting, that the Dragon only uses RCS for all maneuvers? ;)

Well, that's how I fly the Deltaglider in LEO.

LOL. I make a short burn with the main engines and use RCS for correction.

The Deltaglider accelerates faster using RCS then most current craft do using main engines.;)

in a way, thats really sad. :(

sorry for getting offtopic but...
if you dont include remodeling costs, why dont they outfit the shuttles with a better OMS

Because they already have a great OMS. ;)

The thrust levels are fitting well to the mass of the vehicle, the higher the thrust level, the earlier you have to use RCS for smaller corrections. The OMS of the shuttle is thus designed by what the RCS can do in emergency and what the OMS should do as it is more fuel effective than the RCS.

The only improvement for the OMS would be using the hydrogen/oxygen engine proposed for the Shuttle successor, the OTV. That is much more capable, but much much more expensive. But has a better ISP as even the SSMEs.

I'm going to attempt a Dragon / Falcon 9.

The Dragon may require a DLL, might be a good one to learn on (I'm no expert at DLL's!).

The Falcon 9 is definitely doable with multistage2 and a decent mesh program.

Anybody up for collaboration? MJR? Others?

Woohoo! Wish I could I help, but I'll definitely fly the crap out of it!
