I re-installed the latest version of Orbiter 2010.

I installed my favorite addons, specifically:
XR-2 Ravenstar
XR-5 Vanguard
Pulsar module
G42-200-WIP-303 Starliner

None of the spacecraft work :beathead:. When I try to load any scenario with these spacecraft or add them to a scenario using the "scenario editor" I get an error message titled "Orbiter 2010: orbiter.exe - Entry Point Not Found"
and it reads:

"The procedure entry point ?Activate@LightEmitter@@AEX_N@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library Orbiter.exe."

Anyone know why this is happening :sos: ? I've never had this problem before on Orbiter, but as I said before, I just recently re-installed the program after having not used it in awhile so things may have changed.

Well, looks like you ran into the old "local light sources not supported" problem. Go to the Visual Effects tab, and make sure that the "Local light sources" box in unchecked.

the fact that you replied to that so quickly....wow. Thanks!

Hey, I hit that same problem. It's a wonky effect that not all computers support, but if it does... it's awesome. :)

okay, there's no "Local Light Sources" box in the "Visual Effects" tab

:hmm: That's really odd. OK, try launching a scenario, and when it crashes, post the log file here as a code block.

Are you running Orbiter 2010 or Orbiter 2010 P1? Local Lights were introduced in Orbiter 2010 P1(August 30 2010), so please make sure you are running the August 30 2010 version of Orbiter.

No, the patch is for going from 2010 stock to 2010-P1. Just upload the current orbiter.log file, if you would. Use the manage attachments button below the typing window when you reply, or copy the contents, hit the little grey "CODE" button above the typing window, then paste the contents of the log into it. Either way, we'll be able to take a look at what's going on.

I've downloaded the patch from the top of that link but I'm not sure I installed it correctly....um, how do you install the patch? Just in case
You extract the contents of the 7z archive to the Orbiter folder. You need a 7-zip extracting program (like 7-zip archiver).

If it still doesn't work, download and install the full release of Orbiter 100830.

Installing the patch fixed most of it. Only the Pulsar Module for the ISS isn't working but I can live without it.

See my previous post. I must have editied it after you opened it.
Posting the log file wouldn't give us more information than is already available. The ?Activate@LightEmitter@@AEX_N@Z function doesn't exist in orbiter.exe, and this means it's orbiter.exe from the build released before local light sources were implemented, and not that local light sources aren't supported by computer. There weren't local light sources in Orbiter 100606, they are officially since Orbiter 100830.
