Flight Question Approaching on the r-bar

Is there a way to guarantee an r-bar approach to a space station? Normally, I just end up somewhere behind it (which is okay but I'd like to do it on the r-bar so I can do TORVAs).

When you do your orbit adjustment to match the height of the station,
set your apogee to 1km below the stations apogee. when sync orbit shows
1 orbit to intercept, use rendezvous MFD to do the TI burn. The curve
on rendezvous MFD should look like a U, showing that you will approach
the station from below.
