Orbiter is not really a 'game', and scenarios don't have real 'goals' yet (just whatever you pretend the goal is), so there are not cheats. Please try flying the included Delta-Glider before flying anything else. Start with basics, and work your way up. My best suggestion is to USE THE MANUAL! It will teach you how to get your DG off the ground, and gives instructions on flying the DG in the best order.
(Also, the part about invulnerability may be possible with certain addons. I don't know what addon you were using though)

theres no exploding that i recall. orbiter is not a game! first instead of going to the moon try to get into orbit wih DG (Bet you can't get into orbit the first time you try)oh and :welcome: to the forum

*chortles* Welcome to the forum indeed. Props on the Apollo pun on your other post, by the way - not sure who else caught that one.

Cheats don't exist, other than unchecking the "Damage Simulation" and "Limited Fuel" boxen under preferences.

I'm not sure if you were looking for actual help on doing stuff, but the manual is about halfway decent. A better resource is getting some actual tutorials - you can pop over to that on the forum here: http://orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=225

And make sure you visit the Orbiter IRC channel at http://www.orbithangar.com/orbiterirc.php - There's usually -somebody- there - I consider myself a regular, and I know of at least two others that talk frequently - and they're in different time zones from me, so we've basically got the whole day covered. We can help! And if we can't, we'll fake it. :P

Don't feed the troll.

Specifically:
-I'm pretty sure that none of the Apollo addons feature explosions.
-You can't fly around the Milky Way in Orbiter.

Moreover, the intentional lack of anything approaching normal grammar, along with the...well anyway.

I call troll.

AMSO has it, but you don't see any huge explosion, just the famous ending of it.

Also, Apollo 2 was no manned mission and AMSO does not have Apollo 2 modeled. I think NASSP as well.

I support your trolling alert. This is really fishy.

Exactly my though Urwumpe... "A flight around the milky way" and the almost glaring purposeful use of chat speak on a forum clearly dedicated to clear speaking individuals. I saw his post and thought "is this a joke?"...

That is something I think would be neat to ad to orbiter... the ability for the spacecraft to explode? I mean, in realistic terms, if your flying the shuttle, and you don't enter the atmosphere right, it will explode. Should be like that in the Sim.. Make it even more realistic.

Have a look at the DGIV.

The problem with doing this for all vessels is that this is very difficult to support in the general case. However, within the last two weeks there was an add-on released which allows all vessels to explode (Universal Breakup, iirc). Maybe have a look at that.

An exploding shuttle is not realistic. If MCC-H think there is a problem they won't allow entry. Simple as that.

Unfortunately, reality (and history) disagree with you.

There is also nothing on the Shuttle which can explode. The APUs had once been able to explode internally, getting severely damaged, but in general, it can only disintegrate or catch fire.

I'm pretty sure that by "explode" he meant any form of spontaneous disassembly, not an actual explosion in the strictest sense.

Maybe some people meant the Shuttle "disintegrating" instead of "exploding"...

Monomethylhydrazine explodes... doesn't it?

...and LH2+O2 explodes...

Monomethylhydrazine explodes... doesn't it?

No. Hydrazine decomposes and can cause fires and small explosions, but not Monomethylhydrazine. This requires to be mixed with an oxidizer to ignite. The N2O4 on board can cause nasty fires when leaked.

...and LH2+O2 explodes...

Only when you have the right mixture. The small amounts in the shuttle orbiter are not enough for even causing critical fires. Each hydrogen tank only contains 80 kg of it.

Challenger didn't explode.

Columbia didn't explode.

Soyuz-1 didn't explode.

Sorry, where has history disagreed with me?

Which lead to structural failure due to external pressures way above tolerences. This is very little that explodes. Just another by product of the lovely movie culture where everything explodes it seems!
