With this addon, the legal issues are not only about the Armageddon movie makers,(I wouldn't worry about that kind of copyright stuff though) but there was a lot of dispute over who created the X-71 addon that used to be on Orbit-Hangar.(probably the reason it's gone)Do you have permission from the copyright holders?
If not, it depends on how they handle their copyrights, someone could be supported or sued.
If I was you I'd try to contact them and get written permission before making such addon.
 With the first option you have even more issues if you don't ask permission, and I highly doubt the second option would get anywhere. (although I didn't expect the guys who are on the SSU team to actually make a development team for the shuttlesYou're best bet is probably to alter the stock shuttle or pester the SSU guys into making one.
But that's why we want it in Orbiter! We want to save it from the horrible trap known as Armageddon physics! It deserves better! If such a shuttle was made state of the art realism, I'd say it would worth it.
But as I see it, it is just a vessel from a very unrealistic movie.
If you want movement of the Armadillo like in the movie, you're probably going to need to either increase the mass of the asteroid to unrealistic amounts or code the vehicle to stay on the surface without flying off. Also, you'd need a spherical asteroid(again, unrealistic) unless you get MeshLand involved. And how about an Armadillo to go inside the shuttle
Aw, come on! I finally know how to use it properly! How to launch, do the reundevous, do the TLB, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease? Besides, I have some good ideas for it to make it betterYup. I'm not bringing them back nor wish for the meshes to be re-distributed.
Maybe down the line I'll think about it.
