Request Atlas ICBM with Altus AFB launch sites

You can get Anim8or from the Anim8or website. Just search it up. As for Mesh Wizard, yes you can get it at O-H.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. MJR, I read up on anim8or and I believe this is slightly out of range for my computer. As for MeshWizard, it failed to start on my computer.

I also believe my Meadville Space Center account has expired or I accidentally erased it a long time ago.

What was the error message?

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. MJR, the page said that both my username was invalid and e-mail address was in use.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. MJR, I was on Mr. Robert Conley's forum.

For anyone else, I hope that the pictures I posted on page 1 were enough to help create a surface base with surface tiles.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. MJR, I have created a new account on Mr. Robert Conley's forum and have posted a question asking him if we could modify the Project Mercury Atlas booster. I have not had a response and if you know another way to contact Mr. Conley, please let me know.

I will. Make sure you tell him what you will be using it for.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. MJR, I titled my post on Mr. Robert Conley's forum as:

Modifications to Atlas for ICBM add-on

I hope I gave Mr. Conley enough info on our project.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. MJR, I have been reviewing some similar Atlas threads and I saw an add-on developer who looks like they could help: Mr. 80mileshigh.
I hope he will be eager to help us out.

Possibly. It all depends on the circumstances. Sometime this week I will start making the ICBM. I just hope you guys know I have other things to do too.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. MJR, I am very happy that work on the ICBM will be done. Now, if only we can find someone to make a launch complex for it using the coordinates and pictures I posted. Do you know anyone who can do this? I do understand that you have previous engagements, but that's life!

This is interesting. I knew there was some sort of missile range in OK from when I was near Fort Sill back in the 90s. I was standing outside talking to someone one afternoon and I saw a very bright object arcing through the sky high overhead. I knew about the artillery ranges there, but whatever this was it was WAAAY up high, higher than any artillery shell, and it was burning so bright that the flame appeared as a point source rather than a comet-style flame. I asked my friend what it was, and he said, "Oh? That's just a missile" as if it were no big deal. I doubt it was an Atlas, since Atlas was by this time only a launcher and no longer usd as a ballistic missile, but whatever it was they seemed to feel confident enough to fly it nearly over our heads.

The best book on the history of Atlas is called Atlas: The Ultimate Weapon. Look it up on Amazon. It has great diagrams and photos and covers the history of the program from the beginnings in the 40s and 50s up to 2005 when the Atlas V was introduced.

The first Atlas missiles deployed for combat were stored in horizontal silos, and to prep them for launch they had to be erected to the vertical before tanking. Later models were stored in underground vertical silos. Before launch the silo door would open, and the missile was raised almost to ground level where it would be tanked. I can't remember if the last Atlas silos allowed for underground launching like modern ones do. I'll have to check the book and get back.

There are many different working bodies in this forum who can make the base and complex. It just takes time to find somebody to sacrifice time for this project. Andy44, I too see it too every now and then when I am near Altus. Now I do not feel like I am hallucinating.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. MJR, Thank you for your time with this. Is there anyone you want to recommend?

Not off the top of my head, but I will get back to you soon on that.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. MJR, I look forward to see your recommendees.
For Mr. Andy44, I've seen that book somewhere before. Judging by the particular site I have posted pictures on, this seems to be a vertical underground silo. That particlular story you shared is very interesting. Perhaps it was not an Atlas, but a possible decendant of the SNARK. Thank you for your help.

That is not possible. Some days I will dedicate much time and work to the rocket, but other days I will keep it to a minimum. Many people ask this all the time to me and others so I just want to clear it up. As of now, I cannot make a projected release date. Sorry.

BTW, did my tutorial help?

It helped me figure out that figure out that I'll never be an add-on developer because it looks pretty time-consuming.
