Question AutoFCS missing bases

It worked in 2006 and it worked in 2010. What changed in 2010P1. I don,t see this is an authors problem, if it worked in 2010 there is no earthly reason why it should,nt work in 2010P1. What changed, and did it REALLY need to be changed ?. Only Martins would know what changed. This is probably THE most usefull mfd in Orbiter.

Agreed! I know nothing about code or programming but I have a feeling that someone who does could figure this out pretty quickly, SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THIS! I have tried 30-40 manual deorbits/reentrys and keep bouncing off the atmospher, I have read all the tutorials and just cant seem to figure it out.

Folks, please do remember that no smart autopilot (and AutoFCS is the smartest of all Orbiter autopilots) can be fully reliable. Real-life astronauts train hard to do successful re-entries with some systems hanging on a thread. Please consider this condition (no AutoFCS update) an emergency you have to train for - sitting in a cosy chair at 1g, not fearing for the lives of six other poor souls who depend on you. Yes, you can do manual re-entries. Please re-read the manual for the GPC MFDs, I advise to have Surface MFD, GPC MFD mode 4 and mode 3 on the screen. Reading Shuttle operating manual and flight rules would definitely help in understanding the limitations and SOPs involved (start with http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/shuttle/reference/)

True but Like I said. the reentry that is used by the shuttle pilots have to use a sort of autopilot system for reentry. they cant reenter with their hands. thats only in rare situations
