General Question AutoFCS with Hi res KSC?

Hey all,
I seem to have a problem with my AutoFCS trying to land at the main RW 33/15 at KSC. The SS always seems to land where the old runway is, not where the new hi-res one is. Im running the new shuttle fleet 4.18, has anybody else found this problem or got a solution?

Which hi-res add-on? Slat's, or this one:

Im using ID=2811 one, and im using SP 4.18
I deleted my SS installation and now when i activate AutoFCS when i select KSC it tells me there are no runways there... i followed all the instuctions from installation im not sure where i have gone wrong?

I sorted it out. It seems that the Earth.cfg location of KSC was different to KSC.cfg
I switched them around and changed some runway data and it works now

Can you post a scenario that you have this problem with? Also, which hi-res KSC add-on are you using?

It seems that there was some problem with KSC.cfg, after much comparison with the old one from SF 4.15, i found there was some differences. I managed to them through swapping runways round get the runways appearing in AutoFCS, however they were landing in the location of the old 'lo-res' KSC. It seemed that in the Earth.cfg the location of KSC was different to the location of KSC.cfg, So i managed to swap those 2 locations around and finally it all worked well! Do you want me to post Earth and KSC.cfg on here?

I used the ExpansionPackSetupV4.1.8SP.pdf file, and downloaded every addon on the list in the end of that document. All addons were also installed in the order instructed by the document. I downloaded and installed this Hi Res KSC scenery:

I might very well have done something wrong, since I'm not all that good at installing add-ons for Orbiter, but for that reason I'm quite sure I followed the instructions to the letter (I'm very happy that you've included such instructions!)...

Okay, I've provided an answer in the other thread. This same problem was already identified and answered previously, it has to do with inserting comments after the word "Runway" in the config file, KSC.cfg.

Hi again,

I have done the fix described in this post:

When removing ; SLF Runway 33/15 in the RUNWAY line, RWYs 33 and 15 now appear when selecting KSC in AutoFCS.

However I still land off the runway. I do not land short as described in the link above, I land to the west of the runway, on the same track as the actual runway, but a few hundred feet off...

I'm also wondering if this problem is something I've done to cause, or is it something that everyone who use that particular KFC.cfg file have.

No thats a problem in the Earth.cfg file. If you look at the location of KSC in Earth file then its different to the location of KSC.cfg in .\Config. If you paste the location of KSC.cfg into Earth.cfg then it works exactly.

Yes sure thing, i dident change the Canaveral.cfg i dont think so i wont include it!
Try it with a TAEM with Discovery and see if it lands square!
