Question Avatar Origins

Mine is just an Orbiter screencap of the CSM/LM in front of their objective. Coupled with my screenname, it just seemed to fit...

Astronaut Steve Hawley. STS-61-C. :)

Well, after a few Orbiter pictures and a monkey in a suit, I've changed it to a photo of Apollo 16 (AS-511) launching from KSC, I like the scenery that goes with it! :)

Mine is a photo my wife took of Discovery's final launch as viewed from Titusville.

<- The one and only, the original Red Special. 40+ year old piece of history, pic taken this week.

Destiny from SGU doing a stardive to refuel/recharge. It makes an awesome desktop!

Current avatar is an Uziel from Battletech, jumping being shot at just like all good Uziels. Probably going to change it again, though.

Really? I thought it was something out of Battle: Los Angeles.

I picked my avatar name for two reasons...

1. I enjoy the thought of once being able to send a written communication across the old empire via a single stamp and 2... Because I'm also old and cheap.

PennyBlack ... a penny black, cheap? Good Lord, what is the value of that stamp today?

My avatar, ancestral and spiritual both.

Ahhh, a kindred spirit who claims to be old.

My avatar is not anime or something new age like that, but good ol' film from the glory days of the space program.

Dave,
from once what was part of the old empire

It's pretty simple where I got my current avatar from: Earth in Orbiter.
Now my "logo" is USG for UnStunG.

My avatar represents the void.
