Thought this might be of interest.
I would be keen to hear what others think about this :)

According to article published in May 2010 issue of the Mufon UFO Journal …- Ben Rich, the “Father of the Stealth Fighter-Bomber” and former head of Lockheed Skunk Works, had once let out information about Extraterrestrial UFO Visitors Are Real And U.S. Military Travel To Stars.
What he said might be new to many people today, but he revealed the information before his death in January 1995. His statements helped to give credence to reports that the U.S. military has been flying vehicles that mimic alien craft.

The article was written by Tom Keller, an aerospace engineer who has worked as a computer systems analyst for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

I'm just going to assume that it's bogus, considering the source.

I really wish everyone could admit that aerospace engineers are actually more intelligent than they're given credit for and can make complex things without having to ask fictitious space aliens for help.

Also, "we will not get to the stars using chemical propulsion" ? Obviously not. Anyone who continues to think that is as uninformed as the propagators of these UFO/alien myths. Just because it isn't chemically propelled doesn't mean it's powered by naquadriah and shaped like a frisbee.

Well of course UFOs are real!

Is it flying? If yes move on.
Is it identifiable to you? If not move on.
Is it an object? If so you have a UFO!

Yeh i got the same feeling from the site. But all stories tend to come from somewhere, definitely an interesting read though.

Tom Keller... the name rings a few bells. Didn't he produce a few such fakes?

When I read death bed confession, by somebody who was likely as far away from the death bed as possible, how probable is that the person really writes what was said on the death bed? Null is a good approximation.

i suppose everyone wants to be remembered

It's about time for scientists to discover a way to master nuclear fusion. Oh yeah and to pack the reactor in a less than 20 tons cylinders, so it can be sent to orbit with a Proton, a DeltaIV or an Ariane. Come on, that's not so difficult !

I'm spying a UFO right now. I'm frying it, and I don't know what it is, so it's an unidentified frying object, but I will soon pounce on it, rip it apart with steel utensils, and feast on its innards, during which process I will hopefully identify it as a sausage. That all depends on whether I burn it or not, however.

The above paragraph may be somewhat farcical, but no more so than the premise of the story upon which this thread was started.

This was a deathbed confession that is only being reported by the UFO community. In other words it's a bunch of rubbish.

The first few comments on that article get it right.

This is another bit that makes me laugh:

I can tell you personally that we’ve been working on them. And we have ones that can diagnose and cure cancer.

And yet what did he die of?

On January 5, 1995 Ben Rich died from cancer at age 69
