Hello guys what is the best tut on how to get to the moon using Transfer mfd?

There's one scenario/playback with screen annotations in launchpad (sorry for not being precise, I used that long time ago).

Also, you can learn one of the following MFDs (or each of them) to get to the Moon (they're more complete than Transfer):

- InterplanetaryMFD (most complete, precise Map screen, good autopilot)
- TransX (good for planning complex missions)
- Lunar Transfer MFD (the best in cislunar space - superbly precise!)

Yup. Forget about Transfer MFD. Unless you really really want to learn it.


For going to the moon LTMFD is supreme.

For going beyond, IMFD.

Or I guess TransX......I prefer IMFD.

Orbiter comes with a tutorial called "DG to the moon", located in the Tutorials scenario folder. It's definitely worth checking out.

I've written an Earth to Moon tutorial that focuses on using nothing but the MFD's that come with Orbiter. It has lots of screenshots.
