In actuality I only play one, but I was curious to see who does, and if we can potentially organize a few games on the web.

For myself, I only play Vampire: The Masquerade at this time. The old group I used to play with on the web disbanded, so I act as the Storyteller for a local group.

Actually a friend and I just discussed last night getting back into playing Battletech and Mechwarrior.

I also currently play the tabletop/miniatures game Heroclix.

Long time Ogre player. Something about a large cybernetic tank appeals to me.

I should point out I play Ogre with miniatures, not Ogre miniatures, different set of rules.

With my daughter headed off to college though, I'm short of opponents.

Best tabletop ever:

We also enjoyed:

Illuminati New World Order (TCG)
Runequest (Roleplaying)
Advanced Squad Leader (die-hard strategy tabletop)

I did a bit of Warhammer 40k back in the days, but I'm just not enthusiastic enough about painting miniatures to really get into the spirit of it...

Every 6 months or so my scout troop holds a small Tabletop games day. Over the years I've played Space Hulk, several war games, set in all periods of history, including the future with mechs and tanks. We've also tryed dungeons and dragons, and Warhammer 40K. By far our most played though is an RPG called Last Night On Earth.

When I was in England, I played some Lord of the Rings skirmishes. I really wanted to try Warhammer 40k, but, unfortunately, that kind of game practically doesn't exist here in Brazil :(.

We used to play this:

I enjoyed it maybe for the first three times. It quickly evolved into my most hated TT game ever

Currently in two D&D groups--one 4e and one 2e. If only I could convince the 2e group to move to 3.5e, since that's my favorite ruleset...

That's what I always disliked about D&D/AD&D: The immense rulesets. When we discovered Runequest we immediately switched to that. There is three books in total (one for players, one for masters and one creature/moster reference book). It's a very powerful ruleset, yet simple. But it does require a more experienced master in general as compared to AD&D.

Well, this is what I prefer about 2e/3.5e compared to 4e--with the older ones, you can use just the core ruleset and everything will be fine. With 4e, it's such a huge money grab that every time they publish a new book it supersedes something in the core rulebooks, so that the core rulebooks are actually woefully inadequate and in order to keep up you need the D&D Insider subscription for $75/year.

BIGTIME nerd here. Paranoia and Fiasco are our two favorite role playing games. My ultimate favorite role playing game is "Marvel Superheroes", the one made by TSR with the old FASERIP system. We also love "War of the Ring", Ogre, and I have a major affinity for those complicated board war games with the hex maps and the 100000000 little cardboard counters. I collect games. I have over 600 of them not counting all the role playing games I own. I also have an affinity for Shogi and all of it's varients as well as Xiang Qi.

Due to a move I'm no longer in my D&D group, but have often played that.

Right now Squad Leader (not Advanced) gets a good bit of my attention, even online using VSQL.

If I could take the time to relearn the ruleset, I'd even be interested in getting back into Rise and Decline of the Third Reich.

Never tried online, maybe I should. As it's hard to find friends to play. They usually run away once they see the rules :(

Played Warhammer once or twice but don't own an army - haven't the time, money or patience for it. :P

How could I forget? Back in the day (as in High School, and a few years following) a large group of us band geeks used to play Steve Jackson's GURPS (Generic Universal Role Playing System).

We always played in a semi-futuristic comic book setting, with characters from multiple universes, mostly DC, Marvel, and Image. We also had a few vampires mixed in (Vampire: The Masquerade was just becoming big).

We had a huge campaign that began my senior year at band camp and ended on my living room floor (due to the size of the map). Good times.

If I had those three things, I can see myself spending SOOOOO much money and really getting into 40k. Alas, I have little all three, so I have yet to even watch a game at our local game store.

With Squad Leader it's even very easy to play by email using VSQL. Most of us who play do so by email with online sessions being more a special treat when people are free at the same time. Check out the VSQL module some time and drop me a PM if it looks interesting.
