Gary Goodyear, the minister of state for science and technology, made the announcement Thursday morning that Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield will take command of the ISS in 2013 during the second half of his six month deployment to the station. This will be Col. Hadfield's third trip into space and he will be the first Canadian to command a space mission. He was also the first Canadian to walk in space.
