OK, I have installed Orbiter 2010 with the patch, and it seems I am having trouble installing add-ons. When I click on the add-on ZIP file, it gives one folder with the name of the add-on that I extract to the main Orbiter directory. It seems I can't get any of my add-ons to work. Can anybody help???

The problem is as followed:

Only the folder with the name is false!
You need to klick on the folder and extract the folders from there(textures, config, meshes).
That works only with winrar or winzip, not with the normal extractor of windows.

Cheers.

you should find a .exe in the folder you extract, that will automatically install the addon

also, you need to tick the relevant box of the addon in the "Modules" tab of orbiter

well, i guess, since this is his 5th post, that he will be starting now, maybe trying to get the DGIV/OrbiterSound to work

What is the name of that add-on?

Is it only one add-on that you can't get working, or every add-on you extract to Orbiter directory?

There are several. The Jarvis add-on is one and the LC-19 add-on being another

in this example: LC-19. Double click the LC-19 folder. Then you get the the folders you need to copy to your installation (Meshes, textures, config etc.). You always need to copy these folders to your installation except when it's an .exe or if there are any other installation instructions in a readme..
