Damage and failure simulation

Hi,
Can I enable and activate "Damage and failure simulation" at any time during a mission? Or do I need to start a new mission?

You enable it in the orbiter settings. For failures you can create them using the project apollo mfd, most are launch failures but there are many to try out as we develop and add more.
