I am having a problem where when i crash my DGIV it CTDs. It worked before and the only new addons i have installed are wideawake international and orbiter sound 4.0. I have checked all the settings and even set the debris to 0 but i still get a CTD. Where can i find orbiter log because i think it might help and is there a way to stop the CTD?

upload the scenario as well and put both inside the code boxes (highlight the text and click on the grey 'code' button above). This makes it more readable for people.

I can reproduce this in the D3D9/D3D11 client, and it will be fixed in the new version. Even for the inline client I think.

I cant find the orbiter.log file
Here is a screen shot of my orbiter folder
please help

Here is a screen shot of my orbiter folder
Any higher resolution screen shot? This one is 350x280, but the screen seems to be at least 4 times larger.

What is this "Orbiter" Text Document?

It is orbiter.log! for some reason its called just orbiter? Am i safe to re name it?

It is orbiter.log! for some reason its called just orbiter? Am i safe to re name it?
You should rather change folder options to show extensions of all files. The file is Orbiter.log, but Explorer doesn't show its extension. It's of "Text Document" type, because it's most likely associated with Notepad.

It happens with all scenarios when the DGIV crashes

Hmm... this is weird, although I've seen it with other add-ons (not on the DGIV though)....

Can you try de-activating all the plugins and start the scenario? If it still crashes, re-install the DGIV add-on.

ok ill give it a try

Thanks iv fixed it
It was intermod_2 that was causing it. Thanks for the help guys

Hum ! I know what causes it. On a technical level, a random add-on has set a pointer to the DGIV, and when it crashed, the ship is replaced by burnt piecies, and the try to handle the old ship returns an error -> CTD.
In other words, an add-on is trying to "follow" the old DGIV, but now it is in piecies, it can't, and this result in a CTD.

is there any way to fix it but still be able to use intermod_2?
