So I'm probably growing quite renowned on this form as that one idiot who comes begging every few days for help with some problem, and I grant that...I figure it's just more material for people to look up later in the rare event they run into the same problems as I do.

Anyhow, here's what I know. I tried adding a DGIV to one of my scenarios via the in-game editor. Loaded fine, I could see its visual model and everything; change paints and crew through the editor, etc. Switched control to it and unpaused, and the sim crashed. I narrowed the issue down to the DGIV itself by loading the most basic scenario wherein the -only- vessel was the DGIV (modified "Performance Test" file included with it). Crashed while trying to startup. Nothing at all in the Orbiter.log file, just standard startup notifications.

Tried reinstalling the DGIV. No luck. Figured maybe the installer doesn't overwrite existing files. Installed to a temp folder and copied/pasted into Orbiter to make sure old files were overwritten. No luck. Maybe it was a conflict with an MFD I'd downloaded since I last used it. Turned off all modules before starting up. No luck. Thought maybe it was an issue with Spacecraft3, even though I hadn't had any trouble with other dependent vessels; reinstalled Spacecraft3.dll anyway. No luck.

I looked through my recent downloads and nothing stood out. Some new ships, scenarios, planet textures, MFDs...nothing that should interfere with anything regarding the DGIV itself once they're removed from the equation.

So, at this point I have absolutely no idea what's going on, and no leads other than that it works on a clean install of Orbiter...which isn't very illuminating.

Can you post the orbiter.log file?

I've attached both the log and the scenario file which generated it. The scenario is the same as the default that came with the DGIV, but I removed the default ISS and Mir from the file to rule out all possibilities.

Edit: Only lead I have now is the error signature that Windows gives me when the sim crashes. It reads,

Code:
AppName: orbiter.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: msvcr80.dll
ModVer: 8.0.50727.4053 Offset: 000157b5

Still not very helpful, since it could still be anything...

Edit 2: Using a copy of my Orbiter installation, I've narrowed the problem down to Orbiter's Config folder. I deleted it and replaced it with the stock Orbiter config folder and after reinstalling DGIV it now loads. that narrows the problem down to about a thousand files....

Edit 3: It involves one of the stock config files. This time, I kept the fully modded config file, and overwrote all the basic Config files that came with Orbiter, and the DGIV loaded. So what mod would change one of the game's base config files, which one would it have changed, and why would the DGIV not like that?

Edit 4: Well, I'll be darned. I actually managed to narrow it down to the ONE file that was the issue. I had downloaded a Level 8 Venus texture off of Orbit Hangar that also changed the Venus.cfg file for whatever reason. Replacing this config with the stock Orbiter Venus.cfg allowed the Delta Glider to load...how does that make ANY sense whatsoever? I've attached the config file that came with the mod just for the heck of it. Maybe someone interested enough can spot something horribly wrong with it. (Changed to .txt to allow upload)

Do I get a prize? :D

Ignore this post - I saw this thread when you first posted and had an idea, but didn't have time to reply. Today I had time and posted my idea -and didn't bother to notice you had already solved the issue! OPPS!
