From your post it seems that you believe you already know what the 'truth' is and this is the funny thing about the truth, if the US Government says nothing they must be lying. If they deny alien tech they ARE lying.

Area 51 is an advanced R&D facility. nothing more than that. At best they are flying PDE equipped aircraft and (hopefully) aurora. Nothing more than that.

You really want to know the truth, do you.!!! Is it because deep down you can't handle the lies. area 51 exists, maybe in the sense of a R&D facility like gary said, or a facility used to house secret alien stuff. if it doesnt directly impact the safety of the country or the world, then who cares, let the military do its thing

There's more than sufficient evidence to convince me it's there (satellite imagery/ military acknowlegement that the U2, SR71, F117, B2, etc. were flight tested there).

IF there ever were crashed UFOs, it would be safe to assume that the wreckage and casualties/survivors would be taken to secure facilities (Groom Lake, Wright-Pat, etc), which is what gave rise to the rumours in the first place.

IF the United States government has ever made contact with extraterrestrials, we will know when they're damned good & ready to tell us. Not because of some Fox Mulder wanna-be.

"The truth" as in USAF or whoever runs the place declassifying everything? Could be a while, they're probably still flying highly classified experimental aircraft out of there. That's probably why they're reluctant to publish anything about what they've actually been doing in there, and content to let the public invent and spread crazy theories about the place.

"The truth" as in Obama announcing "Yep, we've been keeping aliens in Nevada for the past 60 years"? Not likely either, regardless of whether or not they actually are.

So no, whatever the truth is, you and me aren't likely to find out any time soon, and people inventing ridiculous claims with zero evidence won't bring us any closer, either.

I always have a chuckle when i hear/see UFO and aliens in the same sentence. U.F.O. stands for Unidentified Flying Object, once identified it is no longer a U.F.O. by definition. And Alien is almost as bad, “An introduced, neozoon, alien, exotic, non-indigenous, or non-native species, or simply an introduction, is a species living outside its native distributional range, which has arrived there by human activity, either deliberate or accidental.” Or “In law, an alien is a person in a country who is not a citizen of that country.”

As for Area 51, just look what is just to the south west of the base and think back to the Cold War.

Until the government declassifies the base completely, they still haven't revealed the truth. Now whether or not that truth is Aliens with advanced technology or a collection of empty shells and fake runways while the real research is done elsewhere, the truth still haven't revealed, and likely won't for quite some time.

The only access is by plane, and the only people that get on the plane are the ones that go trough very thorough background, identity and reliability checks. And on top of that, the only items that move in and out of the base are the ones that are allowed on the plane, no other way to sneak anything in our out, and you can bet that they do cavity searches.

Where do you think all the national security related cutting edge DARPA projects get tested and engineered? In some back ally in Los Angeles?
