OHM Do you know orbiter? Emergency power up LIMP

Time is enough for restarting the APUs and activating main engines. More is not needed for being comfortable, once you have engines online you can stabilize and activate the rest, while doing a go around, if needed.

Emergency Fuel cell gives you extra time, but is not needed, you only need to recycle the needed electricity switches.

(Strange enough: Sometimes the aerodynamic control surfaces work for keeping a glide, sometimes they don't)

what would the checklist recommend in such a situation, Emergency Fuel cell or restart the APU?

on a side note, i never see such comments for a scenario from orbithangar

Well, what I did, but what I don't recommend, since it would be risky:

1. Enable elevons, pull the hell up including trim (Joystick helps)
2. Enable battery, start APU
3. disable power switches for faster reset
4. disable main engine valves during APU spool up
5. enable generators, wait, enable Main and engine for faster engine start.
6. enable engine valves and give full thrust.
7. Enable all other systems and let computer boot.
8. press ALT+5 (shortcut for atmospheric flight autopilot) when computer is done.

This is a challenging scenario.

I managed it in realtime. One time with hover engines and one time with main engines.

When you done it a few times it is feasible.

Intact Crew: Trivially easy. Hit Esc three times at the start of the scenario.

I wouldn't say even trivially easy. I instinctively hit the ESC key three times to eject.

unfortunately this scenario is no longer on orbithangar

does anyone have a copy on their hdd?
