Hello from Germany to everybody 
I've finally registered on these boards, originally to ask a specific question but then I found the answer by myself. ^^ Still, I haven't talked to fellow space nuts in a while so I figured I might introduce myself anyway.
So let's start with my Orbiter history: I think I first d/led it about 6 or 7 years ago :blink: (hadn't really realized it's been so long), then been using / toying around with it on and off every few months.
My favourite addons are the XR series of spaceplanes (settings on "realistic"); I hardly ever fly anything else.
So far, my achievements include: trips to and landings on the moon, return from the moon and successful landings on Earth; mostly with the XR2.
Just recently I managed for the first time ever to deorbit and land a fully-laden XR5 with >400t of payload. I often managed to _almost_ do it, and then the touchdown was too rough for those ~750 tons, and the undercarriage collapsed. Now, at last, I managed a soft landing. In the last minute, might I add, before my systems would have overheated. ^^
I tried transfers to Mars a number of times using transx, again it often _almost_ worked out but then something stupid happened; sometimes I messed up at the controls (like, hitting "T" instead of "R"... whoops!) and sometimes the game crashed out of the blue... very frustrating. -.-
Recently I've started fiddling with the spacecraft configs; like changing the ISp, Thrust and Mass Ratios to emulate specific engine types... but that may be something for a separate thread in the proper board.
