I recently got this http://www.amazon.com/Flight-Simulator-Controller-Helicopter-Airplane/dp/B004T8HSTK from my dad as a gift. It's meant to run model plane and helicopter simulators. I tried it in orbiter for the heck of it. It seems to work fine except that the camera is constant rotating forward on the Z axis. None of the controls seem to stop it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Also a few of the switches dont do anything (I would like to use them) some one suggested joy2key but it dosen't have any real instructions with it.

a quick and dirty temporary fix might be to remap the key for the movement you want to cancel:

keymap.cfg in the main orbiter folder perhaps?

It's just a wild guess :) I don't really know if that will help, but if you haven't got any driver-settings for the joystick you can tweak then maybe the keymap.cfg is a way.

It came with no software or drivers, It's plug and play it seems. I'm looking to see if I can find a CFG file

it should be in AppData... or hardware and drivers...

I didnt see it in appdata. Im looking through the registry but I don't see it either.

Also joytokey detects its plugged in but none of the sticks or buttons seem to register on Joy2key

In that case it should be using a windows driver. Does it show up in control panel? If it does, there should be some kind of option to calibrate it.

It does show up in control pannel. Thanks. Turns out its way off calibration. And since it's a cheap Chinese knock off some of it's calibrations plain just don't work, wont calibrate properly.

So It looks like I wont be using this controller. Unless one of you can think of some thing im not.

Good thing I kept reading the whole thread before I purchased it.

I'm going to try flyby wire in a bit. But I don't have a lot of confidence. The controller it's self is fine for it's intended purpose, flying RC plane/heli sims. It was my dad's, he had recently gotten a newer and better controller and gave me the Dynam.
