After reading up on Sputnik 3, I asked myself if we could have working experiments in Orbiter too. That would mean that we would need something to measure too of course (so we would need a cosmic ray model for instance). Do you think that it could be possible to include the Van-Allen-Belts, solar wind, etc. one day and also make "instruments" which then record something? That might be only interesting for some people, but it would be a nice touch.
 
Would maybe be nice to have a "scientific layer" plug-in for Orbiter, that gives access to various quantities in the solar system, like a Orbitersound for science data.
 
Doesnt orbiter 2010 have a solar wind system in it? You could just wait for that to come out then have it display the current solar wind from the sun.
