Your claim is, that hypersonic reentry with a stage appearing to be intact is an achievement - which it isn't.

"Appearing"? Of course, you are free to accuse SpaceX of lying.

Even if the claim is, that the stage was fully functional, obviously by the outcome, it wasn't functional.

"It did not worked" is not same thing than "it was not functional".

I do not see any point in further discussion.
