Idea Farscape Module on an ET?

There aren't any other text files that'd display anything of the sort. Should I perhaps just open up a new Orbiter, See what happens.

If you could, try an new install of Orbiter, with just Velcro Rockets, the DG-launcher, and farscape installed, then try running this scenario:

Working now!

It loads a second after the scenario loads.

I've realised that to really be sure of any addon not working, sometimes it needs it's own space for it to work.

Some addons don't play nice with other addons, though the actual mechanics of why it happens is sometimes a mystery to me. I have heard that different addons asking for the same memory can cause conflicts, but whether that's true or not is beyond my knowledge.

Anyway, the way I avoid having these errors pop up is keeping a few Orbiter installs for different purposes, and trying to keep the addons used in each to a reasonable amount. I've heard good things about using a mod manager, though I've no experience with one ATM.

That's for later though. Why don't you take the farscape up into LEO, and give some thought to what you want to know next? Look at the various example scenarios in the Velcro folder, and maybe try out some ideas by yourself. The Velcro Rockets manual should help explain things, though I'll be back on later if you need more help.

Thanks for assisting.

I suppose trying to get the module closer to the tank is really the next goal.

I had thought as it doesn't have landing gear, perhaps a way for entering the Atmosphere similar to a capsule like the MPCV, a parachute.

I doubt that is possible, at least concerning the actual parachute, just to somehow pop up by the press of a key. I was thinking more the small one from the Mars for Less file...;)

Other than the above, there isn't anything more I'd want to do. I have a backup disc which should contain the config file of the module's additions thanks to Phantom, he did that a couple of years back for me when I started using Orbiter.

The wings don't work, as for getting into orbit, that is tricky, I have yet to get there. The fuel runs out.

This is the farscape module config file. It should be there where that setting is for the wings.

Compared to the size of the launch vehicle, the wings on the Farscape are too small to have much effect, so trying to ascend like a winged vehicle just isn't worth it. It's better to fly it like a typical rocket, and if your having trouble flying it yourself you can let the Velcro Rockets autopilot fly you into orbit: with your focus on the core, press the O letter on your keyboard and the autopilot will start. After perhaps 8 minutes, give or take, you'll be deposited in space with a an apogee and perigee somewhere in the low hundreds of km. Should be easy.

Hey there,

Ah okay..so it is possible to get into orbit manually, like the old STS.

As for the wings, oh I just want to mess about with it. But obviously the parachute idea was a bit beyond bare bones code changes:rofl:
