Humor Favourite type of dog

So what is your most favourite dog?
Mine is the the "chocolate covered labradour"(chocolate labradour).

I also had a blond labrador.

It is a very lovable breed.

The blond one would lay on the couch all day like he was people. We had to get rid of the couch due to the doggie odor. :lol:

I don't have a favorite breed in particular, but I'd like my next dog to be either a border collie or a bulldog

Border collies are my second. Cause you can give them sticks unlike most dogs today.

Rough Collies are my favorites (Especially Sable)- followed by Shelties right now.

My family have two Portuguese Water Dogs, so naturally it is my favorite dog breed. We chose the breed because my father has asthma, and Portuguese Water Dogs are hypoallergenic.

My favourite type of Dog was Astor, may he rest in peace...

He had only one sister, so it's more or less fair to call him a "type" all on his own.
A bastard between a belgian shepherd and an irish setter, he had the general size, build and snout of the belgian shepherd (read: pretty big, pretty heavy, pretty strong), the pelt characteristics, ears and playful temperament of a setter, and the color a mix of both: A very shiny, dark brown coat that tended to black towards the tip of the hairs.

He was annoyingly endearing, couldn't harm a flee, was reckless and impatient to the extreme and could not let anything move by him without giving chase. Which tended to be a bit problematic for whoever held his leash at the time. As I said, he was strong. And fast. Raced a Car once, and kept up for a good ten seconds (the driver, a friend of my father, said he finally started loosing him at about 70 km/h...).

What we have now is a Bassett Hound. My son's dog, actually. If I were to get a dog for me alone, today, it would probably be a Lab, chocolate,from one of the Belgian bloodlines (better intelligence for field trials).

I'm quite fond of German shepherds and shepherd-lab mixes. I plan on getting my own, some day when I can take care of him.

Compared to Rough Collies, those are hairless. My mother even managed to knit a masterpiece collie wool jacket... from hair collected by simply brushing two Collies once a week for about a year.

My poor dog Toby died last year 14 years old, health deteriorated and had him put down.

We lost ours to cancer last year--a red-haired mix of Pomeranian and something bigger, like maybe a spaniel. Anyway, we had to put her down as well.

We had that dog for 10 years. She was pretty much my mom's best friend.

Siberian Husky. Just a straightforward animal, as basic a canine as they get, really. They are truly fun dogs. I hear and read a lot of things about Huskies being difficult as pets, but in my experience it is nonsense. I got my first one some sixteen years ago, quite by chance and certainly not looking for the breed in particular. I have since found what you might call my own favorite dog in them. Pictured, the newest, Subaah, still a bit of a pup at a year old in this snap...

Over the years I have had some other breeds. They include a trio of Borzois (they were a bit tricky, and fast as hell when they ran, but aloof in nature and of a sadly short natural lifespan), two Cocker Spaniels (my first two dogs), a Rough Collie (taught herself to open doors by leaning her paws on the handle and pulling inwards, wow!). And I have cared for some others for friends on extended ocassion when I was in England; St. Bernard, Pyrenees Sheep Dog (really BIG softie), Springer Spaniel, and Border Collie (it was very homesick to start with). They were all wonderful, each in their own way.

PS: Begging thy pardon, but: What exactly is an "evil meno dog"?
