News Felix Baumgartner, 23 miles balloon jump.

The YouTube video stream embedded above is live now.

They're on weather hold at the moment; a bit over an hour until the earliest launch time.

A tweet of them just talks about waiting out the wind and launch at 11:30.
Since they're Red Bull who can't mark which time zone they're referring to I speculate they're referring to MDT (Mountain Daylight Time), but that would be 17:30 GMT.

The Youtube video just confirmed that one...

11:15 MDT is 17:15 GMT/UTC.
So they launch at 17:15 GMT/UTC and the broadcast starts fifteen minutes earlier.

1h 6 minutes until launch, according to the live part of the website.

[1] a Red Bull Media House GmbH, what a coincidence ;)

Its also on my digital cable TV, but sadly, I lack the decoder for the (IMHO illegal) basic encryption used by the cable TV provider here.

Luckily, my mobile phone can do youtube properly...

Anyone know how long between launch and jump?

2 1/2, maybe 3 hours. The free fall should take 5 minutes and 35 seconds, then 15 minutes on the parachute and after that hours of press conferences, interviews and Austrian beer...

... and after that hours of press conferences, interviews and Austrian beer...
I have the strange feeling that at least one energy-drink will also be served

SCRUB due to gusty winds.

ABORT for today because of winds.

They will try tomorrow again, but there seems to be more winds in the next days...
Might consider calling themself RedBull StratosX (bad SpaceX puns...)

Abort. Too windy :(

But the live HD stream is awesome.

Tomorrow's weather is to bad for a launch, NET Thursday.
