Humor Fire Extinguishers banned?

I think the main problem is that it is assumed that all these decisions are made with your benefit in mind... And if you think they don't know about fluoride... think again.

Kind of reminds of a time in high school when one of my classmates accidentally proved that sheets of paper were a hazard. Fortuneately, that did not get banned!

Oxygen is horribly hazardous, too. It's a fire risk, it causes metal to rust and hence poses a structural and health hazard, it combines with hydrogen and not only it can burn and explode, but it makes water in which people may drown! And that water can freeze! Didn't the Titanic teach us anything?

Quick! Ban oxygen! Learn to breath nitrogen! It's for your own safety! Do it for TEH CHILDREN! Waah waah make me safe!

... And bathe in sand. A trillion chinchillahs can't be wrong!

Sadly this sort of thing is far too common in this country. Along with the logic that people are too stupid to spend their own money, thus the state should take it and spend it for you. What makes it worse is that everytime the morons in charge do something like this, whilst there is an outcry amongst those of us with some common sense there is a large chunk of the population who just seem to accept it.

For those of you who are hoping that this article is exaggerating to make interesting reading, from my experience it's a sad fact that this isn't often the case.

I thank my lucky stars that I happen to work in an area where such things have yet to become commonplace.

Read this. The myth about banning digydrogen monoxide is not only true, it's been done several times:

lets just ban those fire saftey sprinklers while where at it somebody could get wet.
LOL, yes that could be another ludicrous thing for them to do.

Wouldn't want to cause any property damage either. ;)
LOL:lol: Also, in another mater, I'm reading a book series called "Remnants" by K.A. Applegate. Right now, I'm reading the second one and some extremely freaky stuff is happening, like for example, they've been sleeping in a space shuttle called the "Mayflower" inside "hibernation berths" for 500 years in space after the Earth got destroyed by an asteroid, a baby that was born 3 or 4 years before it's mom woke up while it's mom is still asleep or "in stasis" and it was living without any eyeballs!!! Any way, to find out more, go to this site, http://www.scholastic.com/remnants/
