After trying to upload my first addon for orbiter2010 I got an error message: connection was reset. So I refreshed the page a few times and still got the error. Is that just a side-effect of pending administrator approval or did the upload really not get through?
:idk:

(sorry in advance if I inadvertantly spammed it)

When have you tried to upload it? It can take a couple of hours but also a couple of days. Have you contacted Vash about the problem?

I can see lots of attempts at uploading a file from your IP address, almost all of which got a 408 response back. Your addon hasn't made it to the database, however.

I'll be able to investigate more deeply into the problem in a short while.

Thanks for the responses.

I tried uploading it yesterday but haven't contacted Vash about it. Should I just try again later, or could it be something on my end?

Were you trying with Internet Explorer? If so, try Firefox. (I had issues uploading to OH with IE, and they went away immediately with FF).

What issues did you have in IE? It really should work in all browsers, but testing in a different browser is a sensible first step.

I've come home to a router having a kernel panic so it will be a while before I can debug this from the server end.

Ironically it was firefox.

Not sure if it has something to do with addons or not, but I set them to allow orbithangar for the upload. I'll either try an alternate browser or see if I can upload somewhere else and use a link for now.

Thanks again.

Tried to upload it somewhere else, but having issues there too, so it's definitely on my end. Thanks for the help though.

In that case, I'd check your outgoing firewall isn't blocking you - it could be at your operating system level, or it could be a router further up the chain. You can probably eliminate the router by trying the upload from another computer in your house, if there is one.
