News Flying Scotsman in full flight after engine refit.

Nice to see that old locomotive restored and operational again. Just surprised that it doesn't violate EU anti-pollution laws ;).

I saw that they had to do a "shuddering halt" due to enthusiast photographers on the track in Cambridgeshire. Just dumb!

Its just steam....honest..

I'm surprised at the train-spotters, they are usually well behaved. Maybe they are diesel enthusiasts and confused?

I wonder if it can break its own speed records, after this renovation?

I doubt it'll ever be pushed that hard again.
Its scheduled for specials for a few years, then back to the National Rail Museum at York when not working. Should last a long time if its looked after.

Would like to see one of the Mallards have another go though...

A British joke I think - accepted as normal everywhere else :hotcool::uhh:

Europe can just piss off!

Why? British anti-pollution laws are already much stricter than EU laws and the new plans by May are even more anti-coal.

No surprise since UK didn't build any Coal Power plants in the past decades and only has old plants that need to be replaced anyway.

Indeed, though it was on a week-end, its a bit quiter. Not sure why its happening, unless Beardy Branson is short on publicity.
Will be getting some on Fri/Sat, union is having a strike. Virgin Rail say they will be running a normal service. Hope so, I'm travelling back home on Friday!
