The usual FIA clown show regarding the track limits... ?‍♂️

Yep, no "lasting advantage".

Yes, but as soon as Max passed him there, he had to give it back.
I agree 100% with that. My "problem" is with drivers (any of them) going out of the track, lap after lap, and the FIA says "no lasting advantage"... o_O

Timing loops with 6 strikes. Massai has implemented it before (So no excuse) and while not perfect means that is isn't a judgment call...

They do this in other forms of motorsport just fine. The problem F1 has is it keeps pandering to the drivers.

Look how they all managed to make that corner in Qualifying when they had to. Nobody would be pushing out wide there unless there was an advantage to be had. Put a bit of grass or something on the backside of the kerb and make it slippy and slow and nobody will bother.

Lewis Hamilton beats Sergio Perez to Imola pole

Race about to start in wet conditions. It should be a good one!

Missed it, thought it was an hour later!

Well, Hamilton has gone into gravel trap, two other out now.

Race stopped to clear the track.

Good Race.

Portuguese Grand Prix

Algarve International Circuit, PortimaoAlgarve International Circuit, Portimao

30th April to 2nd May
30 APR - 02 MAY

Valtteri Bottas butted in on the Lewis Hamilton-Max Verstappen show in qualifying at the Portuguese Grand Prix, adding a new dynamic to the unfolding narrative of the 2021 Formula 1 season.

A slightly bizarre qualifying session in changeable, windy conditions ended with the Finn pipping Hamilton to pole position by just 0.007 seconds; the seven-time champion setting a lap 0.38secs faster than anyone else managed all weekend but failing to repeat it when it mattered; and Mercedes turning Red Bull's performance advantage so far this year on its head.
