Hi Orbinauts
The forum Orbiter italia add on developers team is projecting a new space station. Here is our idea:

Our goal is to create a dynamic space station, where you can move inside with your astronaut, use the robotic arm, go to the scientific module to study the universe trought a 3 meters wide telescope, reach the "sphere" module to see the landscape from a glass sphere and recreate a gravitational effect in the rotating module.
We want to create a totally new concept of space station in orbiter.. an alive station..
We hope to realize it for all the orbiter community.. if you want to take a look to our project you can click the link below:

Any suggestion is well accepted!!

That's an ambitious project, but you guys seem up to it. Good luck! The results will certainly be :probe: worthy!

Starting to drool....
You guys do some nice work!

Looks awsome.
Will the final project be pre assembled?
Or will we be able to launch the varrious compnents into orbit, then assemble?
Eigther way it looks like it will be a beautiful station.

The selected launcher will be the Jarvis HLV:

For some very heavy components, Broglio Cargo (or another ultraheavy launcher) could be utilized:

Cargo and crew transport will be performed by the Antares, a long range manned capsule (coming soon on orbithangar) and by the Verrazzano, a unmanned robotic cargo spacecraft.

project of the Neptune rocket, a derivation of the Uranus launcher utilized in the "Poderosa I" addon. This rocket will be the launcher of the smaller modules of the station.

The first stage is derived from the Ariane-5 solid boosters.
The second stage utilize two Lox/kerosene Merlin Vacuum engines.
Payload capablity will be about 13,500 kg.

Set of modules, new launcher... looks like you are thinking about everything. And it is good. Keep going

Test flight of the Neptune 1 medium launcher.
