Hi, guys!

I think I see a bug in the orbit MFD, when the orbit MFD is selected to the sun, the number on the G indicator doesn't decrease when moving away from the sun. Whan moving away from the sun, G indicator in the orbit MFD aways says G 1.00, but when moving away from the sun the G indicator on the orbit MFD should decrease like from G 1.00 to G 0.99, G 0.98 and so forth all the way down to G 0.00 when about 2 light years or 126,480 AU or 18,921,408,000,000 kilometers away from the sun. I'm trying to help you guys make the orbiter sim bug-ree as possible. Thanks!!

Cheers,
Vincent

I think you misunderstand what the G indicator is--it indicates the percentage of your current gravitational influence which is coming from the selected source. In this case, 100% (or pretty darn close) of the gravitational influence on your vessel is coming from the sun, regardless of how far away you are, since there isn't anything else out there that can have a bigger effect on your ship.

its most useful for telling when youve got into the SOI of the selected body, IE when it becomes the biggest influence, youre in its SOI

Hi, guys!!

Okay, I got it now! That makes sense! Thanks!

Cheers,
Vincent
