General Question gamepad problems

Hi there
I'm having some problems with a gamepad.
I'm using a USB dual analogue controller.
When I pull back on the stick which to take off it only on aileron moves.
SO everytime I take off in the DG I end up crashing because it banks to the right.
I tried recalibrating the gamepad in control panel and all seems fine there.
I'm also using joy2key for assigning some buttons on the gamepad.
Does anyone know what the problem might be here?

i know nothing on gamepads. im guessing duel anologue meens two sticks? pull them both back
