I'd like to pay tribute here to the addon heroes, and ask you all -

Who are the greatest addon developers?

Maybe it's not appropriate to start a league-table type thing, but rather to show our appreciation of those who have brought us enjoyment.

My candidates, based on my own Orbiter experience and flying hours are:

Dan Steph - for the Delta IV, UMMU and OrbiterSound, where would we be without them?
Shuttle Fleet David and Kev Shanow for STS-World
Sputnik for his fantastic explorations of roads not taken, all lessons in historical recreation and alternative history
Usonian for realism and fine documentation in everything he has done
Greg Burch for showing us the future
Yuri Kulch for the wonders of his SRC empire
Doug Beachy for unsurpassed professionalism in the XR-5 Vanguard (He hired a voice actress, for Pete Conrad's sake!)
Alain "Capt" and the AMSO team for the groundbreaking Apollo experience.
AndyMcSorley for the Lunar Transfer outfit and Mars for Less
Jarmo for IMFD, an uphill learning curve if ever there was one
The Late Lazy D for LOLA, unfinished but beautiful

All those who created mods deserve a mention and our gratitude, but these are the ones who stand out in my experience.

Hail probe and list of guys :D
..
Oh and BTW, sorry to be picky.
But its actually Delta glider IV :D not Delta IV.

Copied straight from wikipedia.
Delta IV ->

The Delta IV is a family of Delta rockets designed by Boeing's Integrated Defense Systems division and built in United Launch Alliance's facility in Decatur, Alabama with final assembly at the launch site by United Launch Alliance. It is available in five versions: Medium, Medium+ (4,2), Medium+ (5,2), Medium+ (5,4), and Heavy, which are tailored to suit specific payload size and weight ranges. The Delta IV is primarily designed to satisfy the needs of the U.S. military.

Maybe you already knew that.

You're right, simple slip caused by the excitement of being in the presence of this awesome machine

How about the NASSP team and Rob Conley and team for Project Mercury and Project Gemini

I have always found it hard to get them going myself, too many things which aren't explained in the documentation. I have a thing about complete docs.

what about...

Howabout the modders like Francisdrake, for his unfinished, but still pretty acurate representation of the Orion Capsule? Or for other modders that make mods and release in beta form that would be great when they reached alpha form?

I'll nominate Computerex, who has put out a plethora of useful add-ons, and in record time!

Brian Jones, he made many great things like Delta II Mission, LRO and many others.
Artlav, it looks like he can do nearly everything.
Mcwgogs for his great visual improvements (exhausts, contrails, sun, clouds)
Martin is not really an addon developer, but he did a great job with making Orbiter.
All these French developers for all these great Space Station Modules, Ariane 5, Kourou and the ATV/CTV.

And all the ones named before.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with pretty much everyone about their choices.

I want to thank these addon developers greatly, I can't imagine the efforts some of you have gone to, and I feel very small in your presence here at O-F.

Hails Pobe! And Addon Developers!

Doug & Coolhand: For some of the most advanced ships you'll ever fly
Sputnik: A genius developer who's work I'll always appreciate
Yuri Kulchitsky: For his many simple yet advanced addons! He's really one of the best in my eyes!
Astronaut: For his great addon Project R-7
Dan Steph: The ultimate ship for those random missions

Those are my heroes of developing, They really do their jobs well!

Anyone who has ever put the time and effort into Orbiter and addons.

Thanks to all of you I've now spent several weekends flying around the solar system!!!

Any one? That means some one Likes my Addon :)

I cannot fathom how anyone could possibly not include Donamy (Don Gallagher) in this list sooner. He has provided many of the add-ons their visual reality, without which no one would have paid any attention to. He created the Shuttle Fleet models, is working on the Space Shuttle Ultra models, and in fact the default Atlantis model that is a part of Orbiter (along with the LDEF) are his work. Really folks, most people always admire the "eye-candy" first, and Don deserves the recognition for his talent and contributions. Shame on you! Thanks Don for all of your work!

Pilot7893 for absolutely nothing.
Wait, I made all those A.S.S scenarios. That technicaly makes me an addon developer. WHERE'S MAH TROFEH?!

I forgot about Donamy this is for him making the shuttle mesh (yes I know the stand is a bad model the shuttle is his model)
