Hello to all the lovely wonderful people here on the orbiter forum.

I have some (limited?) understanding of physics from my training as a mechanical engineer, though I have become a bit rusty after 15 years in technical sales.

Currently, I am writing a sci-fi novel (several in parallel in fact) and I am looking to keep my facts straight. I like to be rigorous and fact based in my creative writing. You can find some of the background to the project @ www.ax-yz.mobi/index_orb.php/#Landing

I hope that you guys can help me verify the back ground physics to some pretty weird plots that I have in mind.

Otherwise, I look forward to polishing up my physics abilities.

Welcome to OF!

If you are not already familiar with it, Winchel Chung's Atomic Rockets is an excellent site, dedicated to helping aspiring sci-fi authors get their "sci" right.

I also highly recommend firing up Orbiter and reading Go Play In Space, to help you get an intuitive grasp on orbital mechanics.

Oh wow, I can't wait to read your novel! What kind of weird plots do you plan that involve our realistic physics?
