Hello fellow orbitnauts, I have been experimenting with orbiter for the past week or so and am really enjoying the Sim. just thought I would introduce myself and ask for advice on enhancing the Sim further...:hello:

As far as mods go, a good starting point would be here in the recommended add-ons. http://www.orbiter-forum.com/addons.php?v=2010

But to be honest, it really depends upon where you want to go and what you want to do. Want to recreate Clark's 2001, what about Space 1999? Star Trek or Star Wars? Or the Apollo moon missions? Realistic or fantasy craft?

There's a cornucopia of things to do and see, take a look at the external links down at the bottom of the page here for an idea of where to start mining for add-ons.

Some common, popular addons, especially for new users looking for a general experience, are UCGO and Deltaglider IV by dansteph, both available here:
http://orbiter.dansteph.com/index.php?disp=d

They add a few extra dimensions to Orbiter, like crew and cargo management, on top of the new ships included.

I have downloaded the go play in space PDF and will definitely checkout the Dansteph addons.

could anyone explain what "goaowonk" means when he says the symbols are out of date?
