Request Gundam Vessels

Hello fellow Orbinauts!
I was just listening to the GundamWing OST and I'm surprised there is no Gundam vessels like Wing Gundam, Wing Zero and Epyon (all in bird mode ofcourse). not to mention the space stations/battleships from the series like the space colonies to Peace Million and Libra, I know the age of anime mechs came and went but they're still so awesome! Hopefully I'm not the only one that has seen GundamWing :blush:

I think I can go on and on naming space vessels and bird mode mobile suits from the Gundam series. But the two I'm highly interested in is Wing Gundam with and without its aeroshell for re-entry (Mayhaps the aeroshell can be destructible and debris pieces come raining down like the DGIV and like the show) and Wing Zero. since its an anime and not real I'm sure its going to be hard to reproduce their flight characteristics, but one can certainly try :lol: if anything its similar to a fighter jet and atleast enough reserves take off from the surface of the Earth to go around the moon and come back.

It would be great if it had the virtual cockpit view similar to the DeltaGlider (but not necessary) or a cockpit similar to Altea Aerospace XR fleet's 2D display and features (who doesn't want that on their addon? :rofl
I wish I had the skills needed to create these myself but so far I'm limited to just creating scenarios (inspired by this Orbiter-forum's challenges section) and learning to create my own star system.

Hopefully I didn't upset/bore anyone and hopefully you guys will find this as interesting as I do

You tell me. I'd love to try Werner Holbein's third flight on the MSM-07Di Ze'Gok over Jaburo. To call that flight profile "interesting" is an understatement, "harrowing" would be more like it. It's Universal Century rather than After Colony, however.

If base destruction was possible that would be an Great way to do it XD. I'll second that Harrowing statement lol, is a flight profile like that even possible with something that big and a "tad" heavy?? :rofl:

Gundam Wing was a sort a spinoff to the canon Mobile suit Gundam series. Still, it told a good story. Sadly, I haven't given the other gundam series as much attention as I did to Gundam Wing. I believe a Gundam marathon will be in order.

As for vessels in Orbiter, a mobile suit would be a very heavy undertaking with very little return: There are probably less than ten Gundam fans on this forum.

I suppose there would be little returns on a gundam vessel (not the ones that can walk around, but the ones that can take flight). Though it would be neat to put a Gundam Space colony on the Lagrangian point 1 and 2. Or to deploy a deltaglider from a battleship like Pegasus class assault carrier (though, I'm not sure what is the latest ship now)

That was mainly interception of launching spacecraft. Zeon must have had someone inside Jaburo to be able to have the exact launch times for the plan to have worked.

You want base destruction, you need the Apsalus.

Something like the Pegasus class wouldn't be terribly hard if someone had a mesh to use. With Payload Manager a few catapults wouldn't be out of the question.

Personally I'd like to see a Musai with descent craft but that's just preference.

Closet Gundam fan reporting in. Totally wouldn't mind flying around a Wing Gundam. (Wing Gundam is Best Gundam). Also the colony space stations would actually be pretty neat.

Yep, same. Also watched all of G-Gundam, but that was weird stuff. I've only seen bits and pieces of the canon Gundam.

There's a necrothread somewhere out there where I posted some images of Bernie Wiseman's (poor Bernie!) shuttle from "War in the Pocket", which would be highly doable in Orbiter (it's a Shuttle-A on a-steroids - sorry for the bad pun). Other candidates would be MS Igloo's Jotunheim, the Papua cargo ship, the Musai cruiser and Komusai shuttle...
