Hi, I'm just going to edit my existing post on a very similar topic. I'm having the same problems getting downloaded modules to even show up in my scenarios list. Particularly the Apollo add ons.

Now I'm using 7zip, I'm saving the zip file to my root directory, unzipping selecting the "keep path names" option and this WORKED for all the texture updates but when I do the same exact method with the Apollo add ons........and nothing. Now I had the NASSP add on show up in the scenarios, but they wouldn't open. I tried to re-download it and ended up ruining the base, so I had to delete it all and start fresh.

At this moment I've re-downloaded all the textures, I added the sound and feeling confident that THIS TIME it will work and I'm back to the square one.

I'm frustrated, I feel like an idiot not being able to get this to work especially after getting all the other downloads to work. What am I doing wrong?

Did you open the archives with something like 7zip? If I recall correctly, you couldn't open the archives correctly with the standard Windows unzipper.

As to the addons, it's normally just unzip into the Orbiter directory, do you have specific addons(give links please) that don't work?

I used 7zip, as recommended. I unzipped into the root directory, the earth textures seem to have taken (although I didn't open it after) but the clouds and moon are saying cannot be opened.

I downloaded from here:

Small update, I figured it out. :P

I guess the DL got interrupted at some point, that's why it didn't take. I think the file was too big. Anyway, I DL'd the individual sections and despite it taking an eternity it was definitely worth it.

The hi res isn't as jaw dropping as the promo video made it out to be, but far better than the original.

And the moon's impact features are much clearer now, which is important to me since I use then as landmarks for targeted landings.

Can't wait until we finally get those 3D terrains like the video had.
