This is new high resolution KSC textures, made from the Google Earth imagery. Not for low end computers!

Installation:Simply unzip the archive into your orbiter directory.
WARNING: This add-on will overwrite your Canaveral.cfg and KSC.cfg files.
NOTE: Install the Shuttle Fleet BEFORE installing this add-on.

I did as you mentioned in the bug report and tried "scn editor" to place shuttle in right spot but NO pad, just gone?? I'm using the V4.20 shuttle fleet
 
Review/problems

Pros: Incredibly great resolution
Cons:
1. When doing the Atlantis Final Approach scenario, the shuttle starts several miles further east of the landing site over the ocean. You are no longer in Glide Range of the KSC landing site.

2. Launch pad is missing (suspect same problem as previous write-up)

3. Runway disappears after landing - not sure if this is a ground clamping issue or an overlay problem but once you are on the runway, it looks like you are getting soil layered on top of the runway.if these are actual tire or grease marks on the runway, they are spread out and wash away the concrete surface of the runway.

Overall: I'd love to see these problems fixed because the view from above is excellent. I'd love to see someone do what you've done to the Edwards AFB facility as well as the White Sands site.
 
Do I need to install it in 2010? I remember Martin already made high res KSC and moved them properly imo.
 
How do I restore the launch pads?

I read the description, included docs, and comments page. Still not understanding. I'm using Orbiter 100830.

I want the most realistic KSC experience I can get. What other mods would you recommend?

:yes: That's what we all want! There is excelent material out there, but putting it together is a real pain in the ... :beathead:
What you want is the [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2787"]animated launch towers by kev33[/ame].
You may also want to take a look at the [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5338"]fixed KSC-Missile-Row[/ame] by algol. This gives you launchpads and lots of other buildings well aligned with kukanotas' textures, BUT it's awful puzzleware, because the positions of the launch pads are different from the default Orbiter instalation :rolleyes:, so most downloaded scenarios won't be compatible with this, neither kev33's towers.
 
Shuttle Fleet v4.8 found on simviation dot com needs these med or high rez KSC textures and Kev's K-LC-39-Rep-v2-Orbiter060929. Version 9 of Kev's LC-39 won't work for me, though. I use Orbiter v.100830.

EDIT - I discovered on SF v4.8 these pads won't work. I downloaded the scenario expansion pack and it included scenarios from SF v4.3 and it is THESE scenarios that work using the addons I mentioned above. I find none of the v4.8 scenarios loading the launch pad, ie. Shuttle floating over the ground.

Would you say that this is worth it when comparing it to the new Hi-res KSC by Martin?
 
It was working fine until I went into a regular atlantis mission, now i have like 12 different tiles on each spot and it looks like crap.... anyway to fix this?
 
I have a bug. The runway sometimes glitches out and flashing a pixely ground texture. What is causing that?
