Well, I'm xp194... some of you may remember me from a few (3 or more?) years back. Well, I've kinda changed since back then, you know becoming a recognised adult and all, and I figured I'd revisit Orbiter and actually make a large effort to learn the physics and stuff, instead of my old patented method of rentry which was to burn till the relative movement to the ground was zero and taking bets on whether anyone could survive the resulting 'landing'
So far, I've been making heavy use of the DGIV's autopilots to get the bulk of flying around done (Read, takeoff, orbit, rentry, landing) but managed to manipulate said landing into a nice hover engine touchdown on Pad 5, Cape Canaveral :-D
I have also attempted docking with the Mir, although it got away from me in the end and it became a case of try to catch up with the risk of running out of fuel or abort the docking. While not the best start, at least I actually got in a position to attempt it
Anyway, this all bodes well from the future. I holpe for some great times here.
