Hello everybody from Italy:hello:! I've been here, lurking the forums for quite a while now, but I think it's now time to at least say "hi!". I've been using Orbiter since 2005, though in a discontinous way (last hiatus lasted about 2 years, enough to forget almost everything!).
My accomplishments so far are:
- Reaching LEO from anywhere almost always on the right target inclination (well a couple degrees off sometimes) with DG-style ships (stock DG, DG-IV and the various XRs);
- Randevouz and dock with the ISS (even if not in less than 10 minutes, as I've seen some of you are able to do, at least in less than 10 hours
);
- Transfer to the moon, mars, venus and back (using Transfer MFD);
- Reentry and landing (well mostly crashing:facepalm
where I've planned to.
Next in my task list are:
- Learning how to fly the Space Shuttle (reached LEO a couple of time with the stock Atlantis, but I think it was purely by chance!);
- Learning how to properly use TransX or IMFD to better plan Moon or interplanetary transfers;
- Try some very cool manouvres I've seen in the forums (reaching ISS in few minutes, Earth to Moon with free return, etc.) and obviusly learn how to plan them properly;
- Generally raise my precision;
- Definitely learn how to land after reentry without almost always crashing my ship (even if usually I can walk away from it's poor remains).
That's all for now, so thank you all for the help you've given me till now and for all the help I'm sure I'll get from all of you in the future!!
See you in the forums,
Bye!
