Gaming Hielor's Minecraft Server

If you haven't been told what difficulty it is on, it wouldn't make any difference to you, and you wouldn't even notice. :P

Keep the difficulty as is please, we're used to it.
Maybe next world would have it higher.

Meanwhile, Gold Farm slabbing is now complete.
The remainder is occasional micro-cave or hole in the wall is on the same order of magnitude as the collector.
The yield is now on the order of two ingots per minute.

And that is with the primitive, proof-of-concept collector.
The new collector will have 36 side, instead of 9, and be arranged in a pattern that fits the motion better, since you have to move around for the spawn to be efficient.

Therefore, Gold Farm accepts donations:
2x72 redstone
2x72 repeater
4x72 redstone/piston
4x72 slime balls

The redstone is the most wanted material.
Donations can be left in the Gold Farm Resource Centre, which is at the end of AI road, or up the stairs from the collector if by orb's road..

Gerdih, i'm relocating End Farm materials to Gold Farm.

I'll bring some redstone next time I'm on. IIRC I have a few stacks I won't be using any time soon.

I noticed it was on easy difficulty ever since I had 5 hearts remaining from hunger.
(from before I was whitelisted)

Hmm, I remember having my health drop to one heart from hunger in this server in the past. Perhaps this happened during some maintenance?

I've seen that before as well, but it only happened on one occasion, so I chalked it up as a glitch.

Pretty sure it's been on easy from the start, and that wasn't so much an active decision as what it defaulted to and I never changed it.

The Gold Farm is now operational.
The output is still at 30% planned capacity (2 out of 6 spawn cells done), but that is already 5 gold blocks an hour.

To get there, board a train on the orange line at the hub.

You will arrive next to the collector area.

Rule number one - don't tease the ghasts.
For example, by wandering around out of the tunnels and collector to get a better look.
gfarm-4.jpg

Operation is simple - walk around in circle, collecting nuggets and rotten meat.
The meat can be easily incinerated in the surrounding meat-incinerating lava.
If the output ebbs, walk back to the station, then all the way over the forward bridge, and back to the collector.

Walking in circle is important - it wiggles the superspawn area around, causing spawn checks, which increase the chance of pigmen spawning in the collector.

If there are more than one player in the nether, then the pigmen are shared between them.
So, if both are at the farm, be close to each other at the collector.
If not, wait for the other ones to leave.

There is a chest with supplies, repair materials, and occasional cache of gold at the collector.

The farm is fully public.
Please be respectful to the efforts spent making it.
Donations mentioned above are still accepted, for the remaining 4 spawn cells.

Donations can be left in the Gold Farm Resource Centre, which is at the end of AI road, or up the stairs from the collector if by orb's road..

I wasn't sure where this was, as I rarely go to the Nether, so I put three stacks of redstone in the chest marked "in case you teased them."

The End Farm now have a portal of it's own, just go towards Space Museum, and follow the signs.

The location near the End Portal have been renovated, and supplied with Ender Chest.

Another Ender Chest was placed next to the Commune.

The remaining stacks of obsidian filled the chest inside the comunne, along with a little of ender pearls.

There seems to be little-to-no interest in killing the dragon, which makes resetting the end somewhat pointless.

If this changes and people do want to start regularly killing the dragon, there are mods available which can control its spawning.

I haven't been to The End yet at all, neither in SP to kill the dragon (I haven't even found any stronghold in any of my SP games yet :P), nor on the server after the dragon has been already killed. So I'm not sure what to expect from it, but I think people will be interested in killing the dragon again.

Something unrelated:
I've updated the map of Nether rail network in this post with all the lines I know (View attachment 11131).
