"Oh no not another space station"
Well, this is a space station that I'm building, and I will be posting updates on the progress of it. The HAISS is a space station to be placed in a circular orbit with a periapsis of ~1000km.
The mission will be made up of components from Mustard's site and the Mir-2 pieces that Kulch made.
I will launch a mission every month or two (in-game time), but going by real-life time, I will do a mission when I feel like it
It will be constructed with use of the XR5, DGIV, Energia HLLV and possibly the Tx. It will be resupplied by the ATV and will receive crew changes by the DGIV, the CTV or the XR-5.
I'd like to thank the following people for making this possible:
-Joe "Piper" Morgan for inspiring me with his IOSS (http://ioss.ca/OldSite/index.html), and for making the space station module pack
-Yuri Kulchitsky for making the Energia HLLV, the Mir-2 components, the Tx and the DT. Also thanks for making the SRC space ports; they are now the new base for the GSA. Keep up the good work Yuri!
-Mustard for hosting so many awesome add-ons on his site and helping me resolve the problems with the Solaris panel.
-Doug Beachy and the rest of Altea Aerospace for making the XR-5 (stationbuilding made easy)
-Dan Steph for making the DGIV which will become the station's CEV (Crew Escape Vehicle) and will make crew flights
-Mr. Martin Schweiger for making Orbiter
-Countless other add-on developers who made modules that will be used in the station
Mission one: Core module launch (HAISS-ENG-01)
Launch Vehicle: Energia HLLV with DM-2 upper stage.
Payload: "Mir-2" Core module of the HAISS
Mission notes:
The Energia will lift the Core module into an orbit with an apsis of ~200km, the DM-2 tug will the finish the circularisation of the orbit and release the core.
The core will be boosted to a 1000x1000km orbit by the Titan SM's main engines, after the last Energia mission (HAISS-ENG-02)

We are GO for launch

Engine ignition sequence start

Beginning of pitch program (viewed from rear-pointing camera)

Booster Jet

Payload Release

3rd stage ignition

Meanwhile ~500km to the west of SRC Space Polygon

SECO and 3d stage Jetisson

DM-2 Deorbit (to lower the amount of space garbage)

HAISS at the end of the mission

The mission scenario file will soon be released (i need to make some adjustments). I think that after finishing the station, I may upload all the scenarios to the Hangar as well.
