Software High Resolution Textures

I don't get it, how do you get the high resolution textures to work. I followed the Readme file exactly as it says to install it, but I get the same ordinary textures of Earth.

Before anything else, welcome to the Forum.
What Earth Textures are you trying to install? These? http://downloadorbitersim.com/?page_id=42
If yes, make sure it's Orbiter 2010 you're trying to install them on, and see if "Max. resolution level" in the visual effects tab of the Orbiter launchpad is set to 14.

Does these textures also work with the latest version of orbiter 2010 P1 ?

Yes. And, the newest version is not 100606, it's 100830. Or the newest beta 101016.
