A little introduction. I've just discovered Orbiter, so at the moment I'm tearing my hair out as I read the manual.

I found the app after talking on a 3d modeling message-board about a new planet plugin. At first I thought I'd just build a space ship but looking at some of the tutorials, I said to myself, paraphrasing Will Smith "I've just got to get myself one of these!!"

:welcome: to the forums! If you need a guide, read Go Play In Space, made especially for beginners. That should help you get in the right track fast! Also try [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5024"]this thing[/ame], it contains an error but it's not too important, so it should help you too.

Good luck commander, and happy orbiting!

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I've just downloaded the Go Play in Space pdf, so that's my reading sorted for a while.

Hello, and :welcome: to Orbiter-Forum!

Always good to have a stoat around. Stoats are great.

:welcome: to the forum.

"Hoo" to you as well and welcome. But why "hoo"? Are you a Thundercat?

It's North East of England speak for hello. Neither the Scots nor the English understand it. There is the famous case of when Neil Armstrong came to the borders, or the debatable lands as they were called, and the coastal town of Berwick, had to rescind the mandatory death sentence for Armstrongs, a notable family of cattle rustlers.
