Hi there,

Could anyone please tell me what I need to do to copy a Moonbus from the "World of 2001" add on. It contains a couple of scenarios which include a moonbus sitting at Clavius base. What I would like to do is add the moonbus to one of my DGIV scenarios but not sure which and how many files I need to accomplish this....I think I need to copy over the DLL and I believe the Mesh file...but not sure how many more there are...for example, the cockpit etc...
Would appreciate any help on this....many thanks

Start with the DLL and any obvious files (like the mesh), then try running it.
If you are missing something, the orbiter.log should tell you.

Hi...many thanks for your reply.....I appreciate your help.....When you say Orbiter.log...do you mean from the diagnostics tool ?

Do you just want to add the moonbus to the scenario?

Hi Gary, yes...I want to add a moonbus to one of the Delta Glider IV scenarios in the "Earth Scenery" folder....so that when I get to the moon, and land at Clavius base...I can use a moonbus to transport personnel to maybe Brighton Beach or Upton Village...etc....but not sure how many files are needed to copy over...I know there is a moonbus.dll and probably a mesh file, but what about the files that incorporate the moonbus controls?..just wanted to make sure I copied every file over associated with the moonbus...thanks

If you want to add moonbus to DG scenario you can do it with scenario editor. Start your DG scenario, open the scenario editor select the moonbus and place it on pad at Brightonbeach.

No file editing or copying needed, just use the scenario editor (as sky captain said) or open up your scenrio file and drop in the moonbus settings from a wo2001 scenario.

You can take elements from any orbiter scenario and add them to your own, its one of the nice things about orbiter.

For reference, this is these are lines that will add a moonbus to Brighton Beach:

Code:
MB-02:2001/Moonbus
  STATUS Landed Moon
  BASE Brighton Beach:5
  POS -33.4299196 41.1282969
  HEADING 358.24
  RCSMODE 0
  PRPLEVEL 0:0.844
  NAVFREQ 160 162
  XPDR 40
  HATCH 0 0.0000
END

I believe he wants to add the moonbus to his DGIV install from his Wo2001 install. If this is not the case, then indeed, there is no copying necessary.

I meant the file called orbiter.log. It is in the same folder as orbiter.exe.

You're right mate....I would like it permanently in the scenario so every time I load the scenario, there is a moonbus at Clavius and Brighton Beach...thanks for the code mate...I've added to the scenario file....
Also, this is what my Orbiter.log file is showing:

If you have Wo2001 installed in the same Orbiter as your DGIV, then there is no need to copy anything or look at the log file.

Since you added the code Gary posted, there should be a moonbuggy at landing pad 5 in brighton beach.

Thanks guys...I appreciate you help and thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions....take care, Trevor
