I was reading some of the posts and i forum a post that was having the problem of ships not showing up. It was fixed by using a create symbolic link.
I can't seem find that post again but it looked like that on the main menu before you launch there was a tab that you had to highlight or check. I went to my Orbiter 2010 to do that when i got home but i did not see that feature or option on the main menu. However, the person that had the problem solved it by checking or highlighting that create symboicl link option.
Please help me with this. so i can maybe see my Bird of Prey again.

Do you mean "symbolic link"?

I think I asked you in one of your other threads if you were using the inline graphics or the DXD9 client, If you use the external client, you'll need to create a symbolic link (or move a bunch of files around).

Yes I made a mistake about the name of the link. it is "symbolic link". i managed to find the link again. I have a AMD Radeon 5970 VC. however I think the problem for mr to see the Bird of Prey model is to use an erlier version of Orbiter.
I just installed the BoP from the OH on a Orbiter 031217 version. It works just like it did on my Orbiter 2010 version before i added maybe 1 too many addons.
i'm happy with the 031217 version but i can't find orbiter 2.5 to hear anything yet. I tried a orbiter 06xxxx version with the BoP and no see ship like 2010 version.
What is "symbolic link"?

You can create symbolic links in Windows 7 or newer via the mklink command.

Symbolic links are what you would need to see any spacecraft2 or 3 vessels if you are using an external graphics client. DXD9 has a button that will do it for you (in the video tab?).

Anyway, if you found an addon for Orbiter 03 that works congratulate yourself. Most of them no longer work with the latest version.

Well, what I mean is that there's a whole slew of addons for Orbiter '03 that have been left behind. One of my favorites from '06 (the Vespucci) has been rendered obsolete (TTM24 also). Some things sort of work, others not at all.

And "the Tiki Bar is open, come on in and open up your mind" ;)

I never had and will never have the time to discover navmfd (and I almost do not know transx and IMFD) but I still have a version of Orbiter 2003 in cas of, one day...

!Ok, I found and downloaded the D3D9Client thinggy. I printed out the docs. My win-7 is running Dx11 a 03/2014 build on my AMD Radeon 5970. Is D3D9C a program or app that will effect my Orbiter-2010? Or, should I save or backackup my existing Orbiter 2010 instal and try D3D9C with a new install?

D3D9 is just a graphics part.
If you are not running D3D9 then no need for the link.
Some older addon just do not work. I have converted some.

I running Orbiter 2010 and I'm not suhe if I should use D3D9Client D3D9Client-15?
However, I did check my win/sys-32 for any missing .dlls and installed the missing ones. i installed D3D9Client-15 and when i launched it by using the Orbiter-ng a server window popped up. I did know know what to do. I did not see any video tab where the Joystick, Scenario and other configure buttons are located. So i then deleted that orbiter. what should I do next?

You'll need to activate the D3D9 module under the [modules] tab on the startup screen.

i'm still not sure of which D9D3 version i need to install with orbiter 2010. before installing D3D9-client 15 I used the Microsort Resource Checker to make sure i did not have any missing .dll ant etc. I installed the D3D9 and after I failed to do what You said about activating D3D9, iI gave up and deleted that Orbiter 2010 with the D3D9 install.
However, when i reinstalled my Orbiter 2010 back-up (that i made before installing D3D9-15) all the ships that I could not see are now visible. Maybe Microsoft Resource Checker installed whatever thinggies my Win-7 system needed. So for now I don't seem to need a symbolic link.
Thank's Everyone for all the help. DC

SOLVED.....
