By default, in your Orbiter installation file location you will find:
Orbiter\Doc
... which includes "Orbiter.pdf" (the main manual)
Read this stuff.
When you add add-ons, various archives will create additional documentation:
Orbiter\add-on docs
Orbiter\add-on doc
There may be additional variations on this added to your Orbiter directory. I tend to merge all these different spellings into one directory in my installation.
Some documentation also gets added to the root of Orbiter. You need to read this stuff.
Visit the tutorials section of this forum site:

Play in space is the most comprehensive. It starts VERY simple and works up gradually. There are many other tutorials which range widely from simple to complex. There is stuff there for everyone at every learning stage.
You need to read all this stuff.
Some add-ons have an autopilot which will launch you into a temporary unstable orbit. You need to know what to do to correct this once you get there. Default Orbiter has "flights" which are saved scenarios which take control of your ship and fly you in space without having to do or know anything. Text on the screen explain what is going on. If you do not read the Orbiter manual and/or the tutorials on this site, you might still find it a little difficult to understand what is happening in a guided flight. Some add-ons also create flights to demo their features. Default tutorial flights can be found in the LAUNCHER - SCENARIOS - TUTORIALS.
The somewhat deceptive description "Lunar Transfer" Will launch you from Earth into orbit, from there to a landing on the Moon.
If you don't know the meaning of the some of the terms I've used, start with Play in Space.
When your investigations produce specific questions, try to use the SEARCH feature of this site. You will probably discover your question has been asked and answered many many times. Right now you don't know enough to ask questions which can be answered because it's like a 5 year old asking how to drive a car. The answer is both obvious and humiliating. Everyone enjoying Orbiter had to go though this initial learning about the real world (not the sci-fi world of space shooters) before we could take control of a space craft and obtain meaningful results. Please read the docs. At times they are a technical brain-drain read. Welcome to the real world. Reading the docs will avoid the also painful experience you just had of asking questions which cannot be answered without some basic knowledge which produces the answers you got so far.
