how do i install addons into orbiter?

I do not know in what folder to place addons such as redshift. Also I need to know how to download and install more tutorrials. Please help me!!!!

Just download it into the folder were you have orbiter saved into, then when the download is complete un zip into the orbiter folder.

Well, that depends on where you unzipped the orbiter060929_base.zip file you downloaded originally. How do you launch Orbiter currently? If you can locate your Orbiter.exe file, you will be able to locate the directory to which you installed Orbiter.

the .exe file is in the orbiter program files folder along with a bunch of other stuff. When i un zip addons into the folder with a bunch of files the computer tells me that that file already exists and if i want to replace it

What add-on are you installing (unzipping) when you get the overwrite warning? Some add-ons will overwrite existing Orbiter config files, but most will not. Also, what files are being replaced?
